Deacon Jim Haaf
Kathy and I have been married for 43 years. We have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. In 2021 I retired after 14 years as a rural mail carrier. We live on a third generation family farm in Cole County near Taos, just across the river and up the hill from County Road 503. Kathy has Westphalia roots and many of her cousins live there.
I was ordained as a permanent deacon on April 30, 2016 by Bishop Gaydos and was assigned to St. Francis Xavier in Taos. Bishop McKnight appointed me as Co-Pastoral Care Coordinator at Westphalia Hills in February of 2019. In May of 2019 he assigned me to assist the pastor at St. Joseph and St. Anthony and I assumed that duty in June.
Kathy and I are truly blessed to serve you.
